Background

My wife and I had the opportunity to knock down and rebuild our house in Ryde, NSW. We had become aware of the certified passive house standard. At that stage, there were very few certified passive houses in Sydney.

Neither of us had any experience in designing or building houses. But, with a mixture of nerves and excitement, we started the journey towards building and living in a passive house in December 2020.
